Airport Chic

Less than two months till I jet off to Europe. People, two months?! As well as having wayyy too much to do before I go, I'm starting to wonder about all the little bits and pieces that one wonders about when planning a holiday.

Today it's, 'what the hell do I wear on the plane'? ... It's especially tough when you go from winter to summer - want to combine comfort with style - oh and, did I mention I'm on a budget? Ugh. ... Ahh but here's some inspiration! Terry Richardson for MANGO - Spring 2011...

I own a white blazer... hmm there's an idea! Now just to get a nice pair of (comfy) red or electric blue pants?

Loving this yellow blazer!

This screams comfort!!

Have you guys got any ideas? Hit me up! :)

  1. Honestly, the last thing I care about when travelling long haul is looking good.

I usually wear trackies and a top with cardigan, which is probably way more casual than you want, but the last thing you want 12 hours in to a flight is the seam of your jeans rubbing a hole in your hoo-haa.

If looking good in the airport is important to you, I would take a more casual outfit to get changed in to once in the air, and then again just before descent.

  2. Hi Ashleigh! Thanks for visiting my blog! :))

You're right comfort is priority here... however I just can't pull off trackies.. they look ridiculous on me! haha .. I usually wear a light cotton dress with leggings and a structured jacket... and flats of course - so that'll probably be the goer again this time. I wouldn't wear jeans or trackies or anything heavy as such mainly due to the weather change. As soon as I hit Europe all I want to do is take everything off of me from the heat! And if it was to get cold in the meantime, I usually demand another blanket in the plane! :)

As fun as flying can be, it's def not fun dragging everything around and not being comfortable on top of it!! ... And def a good idea to get changed in the plane, I always tend to NOT do this, don't know why? I think it's laziness!! lol

  3. I am heading to Europe in July and I am having the same thoughts. I am wearing on the plane a selection of the Witchery loungewear - black leggings, black and grey striped long top and a black cardigan with ballet flats - I figure before I get off the plane in London I will swap the leggings for jeans.

  4. Oh Yeahh.. Witchery has some seriously comfortable loungewear! There's a thought! .... Although keep in mind it'll probably boiling hot when you land in Europe.. and so it's better to have something appropriate as such to change into!.. like a light dress perhaps.. In jeans you'll probably be too hot!! ... Have fun on your holiday!! :))

  6. I would wear tights or leggings with a comfy skirt or high rise shorts with a tank top and cute sweater. When you arrive in Summer, ditch the sweater and tights.
